A meeting of the Board of Trustees of
the Village of Trenton, NE, was convened in open and public session, Sunday, October
16, 2016 at 2:00p.m. at the Village Office. Present: Chairman Rundel,
Trustees Frakes, McArthur, Clerk McKain, Deputy Clerk Rife, and Tom Baker. Board
members Neely and Poppert were absent. Availability of the agenda was
communicated in advance notice and in the notice sent to the Chairman and
Trustees of the meeting. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the
meeting was open to the public.
Roll Call was taken at 2:05pm and
quorum was verified.

Citizen
Forum: No comments.
Motion
made by McArthur and second by Frakes to approve agenda. Ayes: Frakes, McArthur,
and Rundel. Nays: None. Absent: Neely and Poppert. Motion carried.

made by McArthur and second by Frakes to approve the October 11, 2016 meeting
minutes. Ayes: Frakes, McArthur, and Rundel. Nays: None. Absent: Neely and
Poppert. Motion carried.
Unfinished
Business: The Mutual
Aid Data Sheet was discussed. The primary on-call persons will be Utility
Superintendent Jared Vrbas or Aaron Leggott. Secondary on-call persons will be
Village Clerk Wendy McKain or Samantha Rife. The Neptune Software Support
agreement from Municipal Supply was discussed. Motion made by McArthur and
second by Frakes to approve the Neptune Software Support Agreement from
Municipal Supply for the annual cost of $867.00. Ayes: Frakes, McArthur, and
Rundel. Nays: None. Absent: Neely and Poppert. Motion carried. The
Dissolution of Power Supply Contract from SWPPD was discussed. Mr. Baker
stated he had been in contact with Mr. Kayton from SWPPD and he does not want
to change providers. Mr. Baker stated “he has over 100 accounts with SWPPD and
if it costs more – so be it”. Mr. Baker is not willing to provide an easement
for new construction on the Village of Trenton’s electrical system. Mr. Baker
was to the understanding that this new construction of the services for the
Village of Trenton would be an estimated $50,000.00, which he did not believe
was worth the cost to the village. The village received an estimate of
$18,577.84 for Trails West and $5,925.67 for the FAS Building from SWPPD.
After discussion a motion made by Frakes and second by McArthur to approve the
Dissolution of Power Supply Contract with SWPPD and to provide for new
construction of the Trenton Sub Metering for an estimated cost of $5,475.70 and
the pole move for the Dollar General at an estimated cost of $6,944.49 and the
Procedure 319 dated August 16, 2010 and no new construction for Trails West and
the FSA Building at Mr. Baker’s request. Ayes: Frakes, McArthur, and Rundel.
Nays: None. Absent: Neely and Poppert. Motion carried.

by Frakes and second by McArthur to adjourn meeting at 2:35pm. Ayes: Frakes, McArthur,
and Rundel. Nays: None. Absent: Neely and Poppert. Motion carried.
