A meeting of the Board of Trustees of
the Village of Trenton, NE, was convened in open and public session, Monday, December
14, 2015 at 6:00p.m. at Southwest Public Power District office located at 221
Main Street, Palisade, NE. Present: Chairman Rundel, Vice-Chairman Frakes,
Trustees McArthur, and Neely, Clerk McKain, Superintendent Vrbas, Curtis
Kayton, Colyn Suda and Gary Hanken. Trustee Poppert was absent. Availability
of the agenda was communicated in advance notice and in the notice sent to the
Chairman and Trustees of the meeting. All proceedings hereafter shown were
taken while the meeting was open to the public.
Roll Call was taken at 6:15pm and
quorum was verified.

made by McArthur and second by Neely to approve agenda. Ayes: Frakes, McArthur,

minutes. Ayes: Frakes, McArthur, Neely, and Rundel. Nays: None. Absent: Poppert.

a new 2015 2500 HD Chevrolet Pickup. Motion made by Neely and second by McArthur
to approve the purchase of a new 2015 2500HD Silverado from Wagner
Chevrolet-Buick for $38,550.00. Ayes: Frakes, McArthur, Neely, and Rundel.

New
Business: Hankin,
Kayton and Suda provided a breakdown of information on the last twelve months
of electric billing for the village. There was an explanation of charges from
NPPD and the additional charges from SWPPD for the use of transmission lines.
There was an explanation of the additional operating and management monthly
charge from SWPPD. Minimal discussion on the current contract was made. A
discussion on hiring a consultant to review different rate bids for electricity
was made. Another meeting would be scheduled in January 2016 to begin
discussions on the current electric rates and Operating and Maintenance
Contract with Southwest Public Power District.
